Designing with compassion
Eleanor Health’s mission is rooted in providing stigma-free, person-centered care for those navigating substance misuse. Eleanor’s digital presence, however, didn’t accurately reflect that compassion — the use of black and white imagery and a muted color palette conveyed a tone that felt more somber than supportive.
Solution
A refreshed visual identity was introduced that included a brighter color palette, playful shapes, and modern typography to reflect Eleanor’s approachable personality. The result is a brand experience that feels comforting and trustworthy from the very first click, removing barriers and helping more people take the first step toward care.
Existing brand colors were brightened, an orange tone was introduced for a sense of warmth, and lighter tints were leveraged for visual balance.
Playful circular shapes were introduced to energize the visual language and to reflect Eleanor Health’s holistic, whole-person approach to care.
A friendly, rounded icon system was curated to enhance approachbility — incorporating the brand palette to unify the design.

Bringing community voices to life
Eleanor Health believes in community-based support and the healing power of connecting through shared experiences. The new website needed to reflect that personal connection by weaving those voices into natural touchpoints throughout the experience.
Solution
We featured authentic community member imagery and testimonial content across the homepage and other key areas to foster an immediate emotional connection. We also introduced a community stories hub — a dedicated space showcasing personal journeys through video and written content. Together, these elements reinforced Eleanor Health’s commitment to community-based care and created a more welcoming, relatable digital experience.

Eleanor Health’s “whole person” care model is designed to meet people wherever they are, often when they’re on the go and seeking help in real time. To support those crucial moments, the mobile experience needed to be clear, intuitive, and immediately actionable.

A seamlessly responsive experience was designed to prioritize navigability and make calls to action easily accessible at a glance. Clear pathways and intuitive design help users quickly find support, empowering them to take action when it matters most.

Over time, Eleanor Health had built a robust collection of educational content, but the lack of organization made it challenging for users to find the support and information they were seeking.
Solution
A centralized resources and information hub was introduced, organizing content by topic and making it easier for users to filter, search, and sort based on their needs. This more structured experience empowers users to navigate educational articles, recovery resources, and support group information at their own pace — while naturally guiding them to related content along the way.
